What do I do if my mouse/trackpad does not respond?

  • You are moving your cursor, but it is either not moving or not showing up on the screen.
  • Your keyboard does respond.
  • Your touchscreen does respond.

Toshiba Z20

Please try one of the following:

  • Disconnect and reconnect your keyboard
  • Double-click the top left of your trackpad (there is a faint symbol)
  • If this does not work, double-click it again (and test), then press FN + F9
  • If there is still no response, restart your laptop

If this does not work, come to the TSC.

 

Toshiba X30 

Please try one of the following:

  • Disconnect and reconnect your keyboard
  • Press FN + F9 (This locks/unlocks your mouse)
  • If there is still no response, try restarting your laptop

If this does not work, come to the TSC.

 

Lenovo X390

Please try one of the following:

  • Press FN + F9
  • If there is still no response, try restarting your laptop

If this does not work, come to the TSC.
